Everywhere around us houses are built, rebuilt and furnished. More and more office buildings and (flex) workplaces are also being designed with attention. Yet this often happens in a businesslike way: the future design of the interior is communicated to the customer on the basis of tight computer drawings and mood boards that visualize concepts. As a result, the character and individuality of the client can be lost. Even when you look at the inspiring home reports in the various magazines, all personal and domestic elements seem to have disappeared.

The residents apparently have no laundry, trinkets, keys, bags and mail. Their children and pets are the world’s most tidy housemates and the house has plenty of space and light. But we don’t know them……
